Sisters-Based Guitar Company Finds Growth Through International Exports
BEND, Ore. (February 22, 2019) – Sisters-based PK Thompson Guitars LLC (Preston Thompson Guitars) is well known for their ability to handcraft acoustic guitars to meet their client’s needs. With the ability to choose from 12 different high-end models that can be customized, international demand for these handmade guitars is growing.
The opportunity for the company to branch out of the U.S arose early when research showed the international market remained virtually untapped. Since the company’s founding in 2014, they have seen growth from dealers across the globe in places as far away as Japan, China, South Korea, England, Germany, Holland, and Switzerland.
When Preston Thompson first founded the company they were making 30 guitars a year. Today with their 10 employees they create more than 150 guitars annually, with a goal of increasing that to 225 a year.
